Klantverhalen / De Jong Packaging Group

Het reisverhaal van De Jong Packaging Group samen met

Pre-transformatie

Growing big with cardboard packaging has characterised De Jong Packaging for the past 25 years. Once started as a user of boxes for his vegetables, Henk de Jong has grown his company into a multinational with some 11 sister companies.

In 2021, Siebren was appointed CIO of the holding company and joined the executive board. The perfect time to align the ICT organisation's strategy with the group's strategy. Also because the digital transformation of the operational processes is moving faster than the transformation of the front offices. André was asked to support the CIO's ICT strategy journey and take the first steps of implementation.

Transformatie capability

In three sessions, Siebren and André used Business Model Canvases (BMC) to map the current group and the current ICT status. Based on this, the BMC of the future for the ICT department was created and actions were set out.
This resulted in a roadmap with 3 streams: Setting up IT organisation, Application rationalisation and Implementing data-driven working.

Involving the management of De Jong Packaging Group is the first part of this approach. Siebren, together with Roel and Bas, focused on management and included the organisation in the ICT strategy. In addition, Bas provided the initial impetus for Data-driven working.

Transformatie support

After conveying the message to management, Lucille helped with the 1st stream of the roadmap, application rationalisation. She provided insight into the entire application landscape of all De Jong Packaging companies, including the interrelationships, both functional and technical. Based on this inventory, Siebren was able to further shape his strategy.
